While it hasn’t received near as much attention as the Air Force 1, the Air Jordan 7 is also celebrating its birthday. And to commemorate the title-winning shoe’s 30th, the brand has prepared a few upcoming colorways, the first of which — “Sapphire” —  Favnikeoutlet will be hitting shelves this Saturday, April 16th. Familiar as a result of its likeness to ACG colorways, the “Sapphire” is said to be a blend of “futuristic intent” and “precious gemstones.” “Shimmer,” which is best described as a light tan, dresses the leather base, effectively accentuating the hits of blue and pink that poke out from underneath the upper’s translucent paneling. Elsewhere, the cool tone is fully displayed along the tongue, vamp, and heel, while its floral counterpart is relegated to the sockliner and outsole. As for the midsole, most of the fixture is clad a dark grey, with white speckles accenting certain sections.

No two labels under the expansive COMME des GARÇONS umbrella are exactly alike. Their partnerships, too, are unique, with HOMME PLUS often teaming up with Nike in a way distinct from even CdG Black. Rick Owens Shoes And for the avant-garde menswear line’s latest collaborative offering, their highlighting the Air Sunder Max, a relatively forgotten classic that first released in 1999. The shrouded silhouette first walked the runway back in July of last year, appearing in three neutral colorways as is typical of the diffusion. Relative to the original, CdG’s version is far more simple, opting for a less complicated set of overlays along the toe and profile. Elsewhere, the rest of the construction leans much closer to its inspiration, delivering a near identical sole unit, synthetic upper, and zipper. Arriving in Triple White, Triple Black, and White/Black, the CdG Homme Plus x Nike Air Sunder Max is currently set to release on April 22nd. DSM will likely receive an early launch before a wider rollout to select global retailers.

Adding to an already healthy supply of PRM colorways — preceded most recently by the AM90 “Pro Green” — this upcoming Air Max 90 delivers a colorway loosely reminiscent of the UNLV, as it pairs red shades with a much quieter grey base. A bright “Habanero Red” highlights the suede quarter as well as the adjacent tongue. “Gym Red,” then, comes into play along both the ribbed, rubber molds as well as the leather mudguard, essentially balancing out its bolder counterpart. Hits of grey lie underneath, marking the mesh across the toe and colloar, while white dresses the Swoosh, Nike Air branding, and the side walls of the gum-soled bottom.2022 marks the long-awaited return of the Doernbecher Freestyle, whose 17th iteration casts seven new patients from the ever-talented OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. And among the collection — which, following a number of charity auctions on eBay, is soon to see a wider retail release — Michael Wilson’s Air Jordan 5 Low is arguably the most exciting proposition. Two months following his birth, Wilson was diagnosed with Krabbe Disease, a rare genetic condition that destroys the protective Brooks Sneakers coating of nerve cells in both the brain and nervous system. And while often fatal, the young sneaker designer thankfully had his late older brother Marshall, whose prior experience with the disease signaled doctors to keep a watchful eye. “My brother helped save my life,” Wilson commented. Ten years thereafter, Michael Wilson is as happy a kid as any, with love for everything from airplanes to mac ‘n’ cheese. And by way of his Air Jordan 5 Low, all of these passions culminate into one colorful, reference-packed colorway. “Take Flight,” for starters, adorns the shoe, nodding to one of Wilson’s mottos. What’s more, macaroni informs the dubrae and pattern-covered toe; a shark is printed onto the tongue label; and eyes sit behind the silhouette’s netting, turning the AJ5 into a vibrant fighter jet.
