World of warcraft TBC will soon get it's Wrath of the Lich King expansion, something of the game's most popular fan-favourites. As part of this the game will be able to open "Fresh Start servers to players wow classic tbc gold  who haven't had the chance to play. These realms are intended to players who wish to enjoy the excitement of beginning with a brand new character and playing with other players in the same boat.

Players have been requesting Blizzard to make this happen for some time in the past, but Wrath of the Lich King is an extremely popular part of WoW's history. it is likely that the developers expect it to draw a lot of "new players' as well as TBC players.

The servers were announced in a blog post by Blizzard CM Kaivax. They are "Wrath of the King TBC realms starting from day one, which means when they begin they'll be equipped with all the character and talent tree abilities of Wrath of the Lich King TBC and every player will begin new characters at level 1."

These Fresh Start realms also come with certain restrictions, all of which are designed to stop people from:

For at not less than 90 days, players cannot boost a character within the Fresh Start realms.

At least for one year, Fresh Start realms will not be an option for character transfers.

Death Knights can't be created in these realms unless you have a Level 55 character in that same realm.

Every single piece of WoW TBC or Burning Crusade content will be available on these realms while Northrend remains locked on all server until Wrath of the Lich King starts.

"Ultimately, we hope to see players spread out onto all of the worlds that are available at the point that Wrath of the Lich King TBC begins," writes Blizzard. "For those who are looking for the chance to have a chance at balancing their factions we're hopeful that, by beginning from scratch, they'll have an opportunity to maintain balance for a long period of time. For players looking for a chance to level up in dungeons the wow tbc gold  presence of other leveling players increases the likelihood of that."

Wrath of the Lich King will certainly draw a lot curiosity: our own Fraser reckons that it marked the end of WoW's most successful times and that the game has never been better then when the game was revived by Arthas. Blizzard isn't quite ready to date the expansion, but we can expect it to be released later in the year. In the meantime, we've got everything we have learned about how the studio is trying to bring back one of WoW's greatest periods.
