A release date for World of Warcraft 's latest expansion, Battle for Azeroth, was a mystery since its announcement. We knew it was WoTLK Gold due out in September, but now Blizzard has finally revealed an exact date for when it is available for PC 14 August 2018.

Battle for Azeroth takes a substantial amount of inspiration from the first World of Warcraft games, with a new emphasis placed on the Alliance vs. Horde conflict. The game takes players to new locations where the two factions will vie to amass marine resources on their respective islands, Zandalar (Horde) and Kul Tiras (Alliance), while they tackle new missions and advance along the journey.

The expansion also adds 10 dungeons, new Raid zones, as well as World of Warcraft quests. There's also a new mode known as Warfronts which is an online PvE game with 20 players that is designed to look like the classic RTS games. It's a game where you build an impressive army, and then strike targets and engage against enemy commanders.

As for your character's level limit, it is increased to 120 and buying the expansion grants you the level 110 boost to use with a new or existing toon. There are also new playable allied races; Alliance receives Lightforged Draenei in addition to Void Elves and Horde is given Highmountain Tauren also known as Nightborne.

Blizzard has also announced that along with both the regular or Digital Deluxe editions, it will also release a Collector's version to Battle of WOW WoTLK Classic Gold Azeroth. This will include an audiobook, novella in hardcover and much more.
