History and Founding
India Cigar A was founded in 1992 in New Delhi by Anthony D'souza. Starting with only 10 employees, the company began manufacturing cigarillos and small cigars to cater to the growing local market. Within 5 years, it had expanded production and distribution across northern India.

Entering the Cigarette
In 2000, recognizing the larger opportunity in the India Cigar And Cigarillos, India Cigar A launched its first cigarette brand - Navy Cut. massive marketing campaign promoted Navy Cut as a premium yet affordable cigarette. This helped the brand gain significant market share in its first 2 years. Seeing the success of Navy Cut, the company launched several other brands catering to various price segments over the next 5 years.
