TikTok and parent company ByteDance have been accused of negligence following the death of a 10-year-old who allegedly attempted a challenge she saw on the app. According to the court filing,

Nylah Anderson was found unconscious in her Pennsylvania bedroom on Dec. 7. She was taken to hospital. But died after five days in pediatric intensive care.

Nylah's mother, Tavenna, claims her daughter tried Nylah saw a video about the challenge on the For You page "as a result of TikTok's algorithms," the series said,
