I've been in the industry for 10 years and have work experience at Google before I decided to go into developing games full-time OSRS Gold. Matt's professional experience includes building Hollywood computer systems on film sets, as well as stints in South Korean esports and mobile game development. We couldn't be more thrilled to share the progress we've made with this Means Warp.

A variety of video games have been a source of inspiration for aspiring developers to make their own. It's very rare to find an original work picked up by the company behind the original title.

This, however, was the case for Brendan Malcolm, the one-man team from Australian creator Games By Malcs, whose idle RPG Melvor Idle is currently being released by Jagex, the creator of RuneScape -- a game which was the primary inspiration behind his own initiative.

Melvor Idle strips away the 3D-based environments and graphics of RuneScape and similar MMOs and distills it down to a game that is based on menus, where players manage their skills, inventory and quests. Activating combat encounters or winning earns XP as well as loot which can later be invested into whichever level of skill tree or upgrade players choose, while repeating activities like crafting and woodcutting can bring benefits.

Malcolm has played RuneScape since his youth as well as dabbled in the top idle games such as Clicker Heroes, Cookie Clicker and NGU Idle. While he enjoyed them however, he believed that this genre could offer something that was more pleasing in a similar manner like Jagex's popular RPG.

"So, I decided to challenge myself to develop my own game but never really thinking it would end up being launched, let alone becoming famous," he tells GamesIndustry.biz. "I was looking to create something different from the standard idle game mold which was feature-rich and gave players real choices about how they would progress in their game instead of just increasing numbers in a continuous cycle.

After pondering it for few minutes in a closed room I began to combine concepts and mechanics of classic MMOs with the popular idle game strategy, creating something that can be played by casually runescape items for sale, on the go and integrated into a player's busy lifestyle."
