The team said that they were "working on internal methods and tools to make it much more difficult for bots in the game".It comes on the heels of an announcement last week that stated Smilegate had "been busy designing effective tools and methods to eliminate players who are bots" and had banned more than 1 million "bot" accounts from its servers(opens in a new tab) on March 4. "Last Friday, we started the process of implementing bot bans that target over a billion illegal account holders," this update stated (thanks, NME(opens in new tab)). "We are aware that this won't resolve the issue by itself and that bots are still that are present in the game, which is why we're trying to give assurance that this was one part of a long-running fight.
