Dynamic takeoffs
Dynamic takeoff is a professional term for the most traditional form of takeoff. What it means is that you are essentially doing a manual count of everything on your blueprints, and entering that information into an excel spreadsheet. This is usually done by hand, or in some cases by using an image scanning software to help with the counting process.
